Mosquitoes?Not a problem. Mosquitoes occur in stagnant water. A vibrant year-round stream keeps this eco-system healthy.
How about hunting and fishing?
Because this is a registered wildlife sanctuary we don't allow hunting or fishing. Do to this policy, however, the wildlife is
less shy around humans and often comes very close to the windows. For example, most beavers have become nocturnal due to human
activity. Our beavers are often seen during the daylight hours. It is especially fun to see the young pups riding on their mother's
tail in the Spring.
What is the menu?
Sample Breakfast Menu:
Fresh organic ingredients prepared by our gourmet chef are served daily in a basket outside your door.
Choice of:
- Custard bread French toast or
- Homemade quiche of the day or
- Organic hot or cold cereals with fruit topping
All choices also include: - A variety of fresh fruit or wine grapes (in season)
- Fresh baked breakfast bread of the day (banana, cranberry, zucchini and others)
- Homemade compote with lemon zest
- Coffee, tea and/or fruit juice
Lunch and Dinner
Three restaurants are nearby for lunch and dinner.
(Reservations are recommended for King Estate dining.)
You can also shop at the local King Estate organic market
and prepare your meal in your room.
